Group Visits

Attachment(s): None

The Mary Riley Styles Public Library provides group tours of the facility and its services and resources to users of all ages on a scheduled basis, subject to the availability of authorized staff.  Generally, visits and tours are scheduled during the library’s regular hours of operation.  Staff can provide programs tailored to the needs of the group.  A minimum of two weeks advance notice is requested before the day of the visit. If program attendees request new cards, applications need to be returned a week in advance.

Browsing groups are welcome.  Advance notice is encouraged, as staff assistance may be limited or restricted for unscheduled visits and access to some areas of the facility may be unavailable.  Student groups must be properly chaperoned and supervised by their adult leaders; the library recommends that there be one adult chaperone for every five children in the group.

A group that wishes to use the library frequently may set up a schedule of regular visits; however, programs for the groups are given only by special arrangement with the appropriate department as time and staffing allow.
